Howard has always practiced criminal law, however, he also has represented many clients in Personal Injury matters. Mr. Klein has structured his staff so that each client and their personal needs are handled by one individual and in the honest and dedicated way he has built his reputation.
Howard has a third area of practice that he has come to concentrate in; namely Family Law. Howard has endeared himself to many within this specialized area by being willing to see all sides of the case and by having a good rapport with the other attorneys in the community that he is often up against in court. This is another area where Mr. Klein realizes that personal attention is necessary to each client. Therefore Mr. Klein has a paralegal specialized in this venue to handle each client personally and with the utmost of compassion.
The Law Office of Howard M. Klein was founded in 1973 and is located in uptown Phoenix only moments from the Superior Court, the County Attorneys office and many of the smaller justice and city courts. This location allows Howard quick access to all areas necessary to the practice of law and has allowed him to cultivate relationships that would be hard to continue on an ongoing basis from any other location.
Howard was born in Albany, New York. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University, were he obtained a Bachelors Degree, majoring in history. He then began Law School at the University of Texas in Austin and later transferred to Arizona State University were he graduated. He has been a member of the State Bar of Arizona since 1972. He also has been a member of the U.S. District Court for Arizona since 1973.
While attending College and law school, He was a member of the Pi Zambda Phi and the Phi Alpha Theta Fraternities and maintains his membership and alumni status with these fraternities to this day. He also earned an Award of Merit from the Arizona State University Law School.
Howard has maintained a pristine record throughout his career. He donates to and attends many charity functions for our community and is a supporter for the Arizona Fathers Rights Campaign. He was counsel for this organization for several years.
Howard Klein has very strong ethical values. He believes very strongly in the practice of law and its doctrine to follow the rules and amendments of the United State Constitution as well as the Arizona Constitution. In doing so when an injustice was being conducted within our court system in favor of the prosecution of defendants rather than the preservation of their rights, Howard took it upon himself to correct the problem. He argued the case of State of Arizona v. Heisse in front of the Supreme Court and won. This case is now the standing precedent for opposing the continuation of cases by the State for unconstitutional reasons.
Howard is a rarity, an attorney with a sincerity and compassion that allows him to cultivate trusting and personal relationships with his clients that endure long after their cases end.
